Speed Puzzle Competition
May 24, 2026
Chicago Puzzle Club and Chicago Public Library are collaborating to host a FREE family-friendly jigsaw puzzle competition! The competition will have teams of up to 4 people, where at least one player is under the age of 16. Compete to finish a 500-piece puzzle within a 2-hour time limit (2pm – 4pm). Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers.
Registration is required for a spot in the competition. Teams only need to register once and can have up to 4 people, with at least one player under the age of 16. This event is a lead-up to the Gamer’s Universe convention that will be held on Saturday, June 13th at HWLC.
We will also have a table for an optional puzzle swap, where you can take a puzzle in exchange for each puzzle that you drop off.

Speed Puzzle Competition

Eric from the Chicago Puzzle Club is assisting SPEEDPUZZLING.COM in running their Chicago division of the Super Saturday Mini Tourney #5! This is a scaled-down version of their State Championships with 4 separate contests (Solo, Pairs-Relay, Pairs-Traditional, and then Teams) and a puzzle swap for all attendees! Check-in Times:
Solo: 10:30 AM
Pairs-Relay: 12:00 PM
Pairs-Standard: 1:15 PM
Teams: 2:30 PM.

Gamer’s Universe

Gamer’s Universe is an event for all ages and flavors of gamers and is created by the Chicago Teen Gamer’s Guild (CTGG), a group of Chicago teens creating inclusive gaming experiences across the city. Come join us as we’ll have tables for a puzzle swap, casual puzzling, puzzle chess, and puzzle sprints.
The event is free to attend but registration is required.

Speed Puzzle Competition

We are hosting our 3rd annual Puzzle with Pride teams speed puzzle competition in Chicago! It’s open to all ages and skill levels. We will have a 500-piece Novice division and 1,000-piece division where teams of up to 4 people will compete to win. Prizes were awarded to the top three winning teams in each division. It will be an afternoon of fun, opportunity to compete with other puzzlers, and free snacks and beverages will be provided! There is an opportunity to win door prizes as well. We will also have a puzzle swap table for those who want to exchange puzzles.
Feel free to come dressed in festive attire. A portion of the ticket sales was donated to Trans Lifeline, a peer support and crisis hotline 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offering phone support to transgender people.

Once a month, the Chicago Puzzle Club puzzles with members of the Center for Enriched Living in Riverwoods, IL, a nonprofit organization that provides valuable programs and services for teens, adults, and seniors with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
